How to book and rates.
The entire procedure of how to make a booking and what conditions we offer is in detail described in our "terms of use", which you will be able to find in the top of each page or on the left menu named More details of our site.
How can I make a hotel reservation book a accommodation through pragueservices.com?
The reservation process we have established is very simple.
1. After having chosen at which hotel you would like to stay or the accommodation which suits you best, you can email us by using the email address mentioned at the bottom of any hotel page. Once we receive your email, a member of our staff will find out if the chosen hotel is available and you will be able to get a reply in less than 24 hours.
2. You can also use the Request of Availability on-line- Form by clicking Request on the Main top menu. You must fill in as many details as the form requires, and forward you request to us. Once we receive your form, a member of our staff will find out if the chosen hotel is available and you will be able to get a reply in less than 24 hours..
3. If you have already chosen a hotel you could also send us by fax a booking form which can be found by clicking ORDER FORMS on the last left menu called (MORE DETAILS). Fill the Order Form in and send it directly to us. In the event that your requested services are not available, we will recommend and alternative option, but we won't book it without your approval.
If you prefer to communicate with us first, send us an e-mail including arrival and departure dates, the number of people, hotel category and room type.
Our reservation office will process your require in less than 24 hours and will reply to you via e-mail or fax.
In any above mentioned procedure of requesting you either choose to call or fax the information, the reservation will not be confirmed until we have received the signed Order Form with credit card number.
What happens when I make a reservation request?
Once you have emailed us all the details concerning your request, a member of our staff will send you and offer according your request with an order form attached to the email (the order form can also be download from our web pages ORDER FORMS on the last left menu called (MORE DETAILS). You will be required to fill it and send it to us by fax, as quick as you can as the reservation will be on stand by. Further info will be given to you by our Travel Consultants. Please note that the reservation will not be confirmed until we have received the signed Order Form with credit card number.
How do I know my reservation is confirmed?
Once we ve received the signed Order Booking Form with your credit card number will send you a confirmation via email after you complete your reservation. This email will include a Voucher (you name, check in - check out, number of people, type of room(s) which must be presented at the hotel reception at your arrival.
When will I get a reply and what does it include?
In less than 24 hours you will get a reply! if you have previously sent us a signed Order Form with credit card number the reply includes a hotels confirmation with reservation number (Voucher), or in the event you ve sent us only a request, you reply will include a new offer or further information on how to proceed in order to make the final booking. Please note that the reservation will not be confirmed until we have received the signed Order Form with credit card number.
What prices do you offer and what do they include?
We try to do our best to offer lower prices than those offered directly by hotels! Our prices are never higher ! Extraordinary discounts are mentioned separately, in our Special Offer web page. Unless specified each price includes breakfast, local fees, VAT and cleaning (if not charged stated). Of course reservation can be made also directly at a hotel, in that case we can not guarantee, that you will come in for as competitive a price as we offer on our web sites. We negotiate contracts with thousands of individual hotels in advance for volume purchases and guaranteed availability. As a result, we are able to get great rates and we can offer great prices to consumers.
What about the special discounts? Can I get a discount ?
Yes, of course! A discount is provided for group reservations (min. 15 persons or more), for student groups, children and long-term stays. Discounts are resolved ad - hoc according to conditions of a particular hotel. Regularly, accommodation and hotels on discount are always mentioned in our Special Offer section.
How do I identify myself at the hotel?
At the hotel just bring forward a reservation confirmation (Voucher) which you have already received by email from our Travel Consultant. In the event of a last minute booking, which for question of time you could not get a Vouche from our Travel Consultant, so at you arrival at the hotel you can identify yourself by telling the reception your name, as oud Travel Consultant byt then wil have already sent your Voucher directly at the hotel where you will be staying.
How do I make a reservation for someone else?
To complete a reservation for someone else, simply type in his or her name instead of yours for guest name. The Order form must be signed by the person who make the reservation, credit card section and billing address must belong to the person who make the reservation to the person who sign the Order Form.
What else do I need to do?
Please check your email after filling out and submitting the reservation form. If you do not receive an email within a few hours ( at least 8), you have probably mis-spelled your email address, and because of this we can not get back to you. Please contact us and give us the correct email address.
How much do you charge for carrying a reservation out ?
How to pay for the service and cancellation condition.

You have to pay the whole amount for the accommodation or for the requested services before your arrival either by credit card or by bank transfer.
In case you decide to pay by credit card you will be charge at least 7 10 days before you arrivals, which is the minimum time which allowed to keep you reservation on stand by in case thre wil be any problem with the charge,(i.e wrong credit card number, digital code , expire date, etc), there fore 10 days will be enough for us to inform you about the matters.
In case you decide to pay by bank transfer, at time that you are requiring your service you will also be given by our Travel Consultant our Bank Details, i. e. you have to transfer the entire amount for the accommodation and services to our Bank Account in Prague; once you have made the bank transfer you have to sent us by fax together with the Order Form, a copy of the receipt which is realised from your bank and which is the prove tha the bank transfer has been made. The bank transfer fees are paid off by the clients.
The whole amount must be transferred at least 7 days (groups 20 days) before your arrival.
Do I have to pay something also at the hotel?
You have ordered the services through us, and paid us for them, you do not need to pay at the hotel. At the hotel you have to pay only "extras", which include minibar, telephone fees, etc.
Which credit cards are accepted?
Visa, MasterCard, American Express
You can therefore pay by a credit card (Amex, Visa, Eurocard - Mastecard,), what is the simplest way.
Money can be also transferred (further information on forms of payment are mentioned in our offer).
Why don't you request credit card number on the online request forms?
Well, for two main reasons. First reason is security. We would like you to get the credit card number directly by fax. Second reason is that we don't want you to commit yourself to the reservation if you don't know exact availability of the rooms you requested and the final price of your booking.
Why do you need to have my credit card information to guarantee my reservation?
We reason why we do require you credit card info is due to the fact that in the event you will show up at the hotel, you will have to be charged only in case of no show or cancellation received later than stated on the reservation confirmation form.
How can I be sure that my credit card information is secure? Is my credit card number safe?
We have the utmost respect for your privacy and security. We never divulge any information in our fully encrypted database account to anyone without your consent. Once you enter the reservations system to book a reservation, you are automatically taken into a secure booking engine that guarantees a safe and smooth transaction.
Your credit card details are available only to you our Travel Consultant who will help make sure your travel planning goes smoothly.
What if I need to cancel my reservation?
Would I be able to cancel an ordered reservation?
What are the cost for cancelling my reservation (cancellation fees)?
If you want to cancel your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible! Please find below our cancellation condition
CANCELLATION CONDITIONS:
Individuals: If you do not show up at the hotel and you have not cancelled the reservation in our office we will charge you the full amount. If you cancel within 48 hours of your planned arrival date we will charge you for 1 night.
Groups: (from 15 pax.):
From up to 5 weeks prior arrival
0% of the total price of ordered services
5 weeks - 20 days prior arrival
30% of the total price of ordered services
20 - 15 days before arrival.
...50% of the total price of ordered services
14 - 8 days before arrival
.75% of the total price of ordered services
7 - 0 days before arrival or no-show of the client
100% of the total price of ordered services
NOTE: In case that the paid service is not provided the whole amount will be returned to the customer.
NOTE: According to the law we need your credit card information confirmed by your signature, therefore the order form sent by e-mail will not be accepted. Please be sure to send it by fax. We apologize for this inconvenience, but please be aware, that all these arrangements are to protect you.
How do I cancel the reservations I have made?
In the event you would like to cancel your reservation, you simply send us an email, by mentioning the booking number, your name and surname, hotel you have booked, the name of the travel consultant who made you reservation, etc ; after few hours you will receive a confirmation of cancellation. In the event you will not receive a confirmation of cancellation, please get in touch with us immediately.
How can I make a change or cancellation?
To make changes to your existing reservation, we would recommend to contact the our Travel Consultant who made you reservation (pls state the name). By giving our Travel Consultant the reservation` s booking number, your name and surname, hotel you have booked, you will be able to get changes on your reservation and receive a new confirmation.
Who to contact in our Company
Who takes care of carrying a reservation out and who is responsible for everything being OK?
All reservations are carried out by our Travel Agency , which is also at your disposal in case of any problems you might experience during your stay in Prague Unlike many local reservation services, our staff is fluent in English, as well as other languages. They are ready to answer your questions and handle your request as soon as you call, from 9:00 - 17:30. If you email us your request, you will have our response in less than 24 hours.
Whom do I have to contact in case of any troubles?
In case you are unsuccessful in solving problems directly at the hotel or with any other provider of services, contact our emergency phone number directly. You wil find it on a Voucher. For these cases we have our non-stop service. You can also contact our offices in Prague, we will do their best to ensure you are absolutely satisfied with your stay.
I filled in an on-line request form, waited for two days and still no reply.What is happening?
You would be surprised how many messages the hotels receive contain wrong e-mail addresses and replies are therefore undeliverable and keep coming back to the sender. If you have had no reply in two days, fill out another booking form and double-check that your e-mail address is filled out correctly.

Miscellaneous questions and further advices
I can't find a hotel!
Even during the busiest times of the year we can usually manage to offer you an accommodation that has the standards you require. If you can not find it on the website, you can always ask the advise of one of our experienced reservation operators by email: info@pragueservices.com
Are rates published on your accommodation site per room or per person?
All rates published on our accommodation site are per person. The rates mentioned on to the hotels list are per person, per night in a double room during the low season, and unless otherwise noted include breakfast and local taxes. Can you recommend us any good hotel in Prague?
Yes, no problem. We have published the most client's recommnended hotels on our home page as well as accommodation page. If you need our advice which one is the best hotel for you (meeting each of your wishes and requirements) just let us know by email info@pragueservices.com and we will help you with your decision.
Can I fill in multiple online booking forms?
Yes, you surely could, however we will advice you the hotel according to your needs
What if I was not happy with the hotel I booked through your database?
In the unlikely event that your stay was not entirely satisfactory, we would like to know the details. Although the level of service you receive is not our responsibility, we welcome any comments regarding hotels listed in our database. Should serious problems be found, we may even consider removing the hotel from our database.
Is it true that if I contact a hotel of my choice directly, the price will be lower?
Absolutely not, you are welcome to try if you wish but you will find that our prices are always the same or lower (we have negotiated many special discounts) than those offered by the hotel itself.
In the event you wil contact the hotel directly the transaction will be between you and the hotel and it is unlikely that you will be given the same low price. Prices directly from the hotel can range from 10% - 30% higher. As a reservation service the hotel gives us cheaper rates. In the case of group bookings we can pool together many bookings to provide very competitive prices.
Which part of town is the best for accommodation?
There is no simple anwer to this question. Staying in the city centre (Prague 1,and 2) will allow you to enjoy the best of the romantic and busy town. However, if you want to save money but still stay within minutes from city centre consider staying in Zizkov (Praha 3), Smichov (Praha 5), Holesovice (Praha 7), or Karlin (Praha 8). I you are on a tight budget choose a pension or hotel on the outskirts of town. Prague is relatively small town with exellent public transport, so that city centre is never more than 30 minutes away by metro, tram, or bus. See also our guide to major Prague districts.
What is so special about Prague that everybody wants to come back to this city?
Prague is among the very few main European cities, not collosoly damaged during the two world wars. The rich architecture displayed, like a museum and most of it is in a very good shape. After the velvet revolution in 1989, the by UNESCO listed center of the city, has been almost completely restored to its old glory. The immense and beautifull castle complex is towering high above the center of the city and the maze of small cobblestone lanes give the city the atmosphere making most people want to return to the magnificant city of Prague.
Do I need a VISA to enter the Czech Republic?
In these times of fast changing regulations concerning VISA's we regard it more safe to get this type of information from the Czech embassy in your country or the embassy of your country in Prague rather than publishing this information on our site, knowing it can change around very fast. Does anyone in Prague speak English or any other language?
Most Czech people speak enough English to give you what you need and many speak it fluently. German and Russian are commonly spoken and sometimes other languages. English is becoming recognized as the standard and Czechs are learning it to keep up. As always, when travelling, try to speak clearly and slowly.
Are Czech taxis safe or are they, as I've heard, all sharks?
There are plenty of safe taxis but it pays to be aware that they will take advantage of you and charge as much as they can. Try and set the price before getting in, and don't fight if the situation becomes threatening. We recommend AAA taxis which can be called at tel: 14014.
Can I buy international newspapers and magazines in Prague?
Wenceslas square is the place for German, English and French newspapers and magazines. The Prague Post, an American newspaper published in Prague, will give you all the latest in news, business and entertainment and can be purchased at most news stands.
Is Prague an expensive city?
Compared to many popular cities in Europe, Prague is very cheap. Of course life got more expensive troughout the years and because the Czech Republic is joining the European Union in 2004, prices will keep rising. However you can still get around with a very small budget or life like a king if you have a bigger budget. A main meal can be obtained starting from 100 CZK (= approximately EUR, GBP, USD) and the so popular beer in the Czech Republc can easily be found for 20 CZK ((= approximately EUR, GBP, USD) per half liter glass but if you search really good even down to 12 CZK. However on the tourist track these prices are harder to find.
Besides the tourist sights, is there anything to do in Prague?
Prague is a very lifely city and offers a lot of enterainment. Besides the many clasical concerts that are being held daily, opera's, ballet and theaters open there doors daily to offer a true Prague experience. Besides this type of entertainment you can also find many cinema's, bars, clubs, pubs, discotheque's, casino's, nightclubs and much more. Is Prague a dangerous city?
Of the many cities we have visited Prague is defenitely one of the safest. This is most likely because of the very quiet and relaxed personality of the Czech people. Just like in any big city where a lot of tourists come, pickpockets are active. At most tourist sights and mainly in the trams (lines number 22-23 are famous for their pickpocket groups), you will have to keep an eye on your belongings all the time. It wont take these trained pickpockets much more than a few seconds, when you're just admiring the beauty of the city, to steel your belongings away. Please keep your valaubles always at a safe place or a place you can see them. If you come by car, don't forget to remove your belongings from the car and preferably park it in a guarded zone. All these warnings are just to make you aware of the fact that these things happen and we think it is better to prevent than to heal. Further we're sure you will enjoy your stay in Prague much more knowing your belongings are safe with you.
